Fixed frame

Cinema Edge

Dedicated room

Fixed-frame screen designed for an uncompromising image: flexible white surface tensioned over a 6.5 cm aluminium frame wrapped in absorbing black velvet that reduces stray reflections and enhances contrast. The structure disassembles into two sections to simplify transport and assembly, even at the largest sizes.

Which room is it for?

In a dedicated room, the screen has no reason to disappear: better to prioritise the image. The fixed frame keeps the surface permanently tensioned, guaranteeing a flatness no motorized mechanism matches. The black velvet borders absorb light spilling beyond the image and visually strengthen contrast — a detail that matters a great deal in dark scenes.

Installation checklist

  • Two-section demountable structure: transport and doorway access remain possible even at large sizes.
  • Wall mounting: provide fixing points spread across the full frame width.
  • No power supply required.
  • Leave 25 to 30 cm of wall on each side, more if the front speakers stand on the floor.

Frequently asked questions

Why a fixed frame rather than a motorized screen?

Better flatness, better contrast thanks to the absorbing borders, and no mechanics to maintain. The only drawback is that it stays visible at all times.

Can speakers be placed behind it?

Not with this surface. For front speakers behind the image, the Cinema Sonic Edge and its acoustically transparent surface are required.
