Which room is it for?
The Vault S++ combines the two requirements hardest to reconcile: disappearing completely into the ceiling, and keeping a reference image. The tab-tension mechanism guarantees absolute flatness, while the long-throw ALR surface preserves contrast even when the room is not fully dark. It is the choice for high-end dedicated rooms and living rooms that refuse compromise.
Installation checklist
- Same ceiling-opening constraint as the Cinema Vault, with a bulkier case.
- ALR surface: the projector position must respect the surface axis to benefit from light rejection.
- Allow lateral clearance for the tensioning mechanism.
- Maintenance access is essential once the ceiling is closed.
Frequently asked questions
Does ALR work with any projector?
This surface is optimized for standard or long-throw projectors placed on axis. For an ultra-short-throw projector sitting below the screen, a specific lenticular ALR is required.
Does the room still need darkening?
ALR tolerates residual light — ambient lamps, indirect lighting. It does not replace darkness for reference viewing, but it makes the room usable in real conditions.
