Which room is it for?
The Cinema Nova is made for living rooms where the screen must not impose itself between sessions. It surface-mounts on the wall or ceiling and retracts fully into its case the rest of the time. Its glass-fiber surface stays naturally flat without tensioning, which suits daily use: it rolls up and down hundreds of times without deforming.
Installation checklist
- Wall or ceiling mounting: provide a support able to carry the case weight along its full length.
- 220 V power supply near the case, on the motor side.
- The 30 cm black drop lowers the image without moving the case: useful with high ceilings.
- RF control (50 m range) or wall switch; 12V trigger and RS485 for home-automation integration (KNX, Control4).
- False-ceiling installation: provide a minimum height clearance of 125 mm (140 mm at 150″).
Frequently asked questions
Can it be installed in a false ceiling?
Yes, partly: the housing accepts a false-ceiling installation, provided a minimum height clearance of 125 mm (140 mm at 150″), and a built-in hook handles suspended ceilings. But for a fully invisible integration, where only the fabric comes down and the housing disappears entirely, the Cinema Vault is purpose-built.
Is it suitable for a bright living room?
Its white surface performs best in a room you can darken. If you watch in daylight with the blinds open, move to an ALR surface.
